MY VISION FOR LOS ANGELES

Imagine Los Angeles where our beautiful parks, warm beaches and open spaces are sponsored by the private sector in partnership with government. Where individuals or business’ big or small can contribute to their community by having their employees and staff create for children a playground that would attract, engage and inspire their curiosity, creativity and playfulness. A playground designed as a backdrop for a lifetime full of memories.

Imagine California where teachers are considered professionals providing high-level services to our community like doctors and lawyers. Where they are respected for their expertise and rewarded and paid as such -- instead of considered just another union scale employee. Where teachers are partners with parents -- and school administrators work for the partners, not the other way around. With this type of attitude it’s not hard to see where California's school system can be a model and an envy to the world, as it should - instead of the 48th worse state in the union.

Imagine your neighborhood where local law enforcement and first responders get to know you and each of your neighbors. Where they’re treated like professionals and paid accordingly. Where they too become partners with each household. Where our justice system is mandated to hold violent criminals for their entire sentence instead of being released early because of a badly managed jail system.

Imagine your business districts - clean and smelling new - with well-lit paved roads and spacious sidewalks with outdoor cafes. Where each village square has a police and fire station and plenty of convenient free parking that is time dependant not dime dependant.

Imagine Los Angeles at 6:00pm where you are already at home enjoying your family instead of sitting in freeway traffic parking lots listening to talk radio. Where your car is used for everything except for getting back and forth to work. Picture if you will being able to travel throughout all the county on a Monorail transportation system enjoying all the wonders Los Angeles has to offer instead of being stuck underground with the dirt, smell and hole dwellers. A countywide Monorail system that can be built for a quarter of the cost and a quarter of the time instead of the Mayor's proposed "Subway to the Sea" which will take ten years and $300 million dollars for every mile to build.

Imagine the working poor in one generation accumulating enough equity in the form of ownership in property, stocks and bonds where their children and grandchildren will never have to worry about the cost of a good education, health or auto insurance. This is the American Dream this is the American Choice I see for my community.

All of what I have asked you to imagine can be a reality. All you need to do is get involved and trust in the Republican Vision.
